Legacy vs sustainability
|
Linda... thanks for your thoughtful and illuminative description. I think you point out multiple ways, at multiple levels, that the LSC work has changed the ways in which the people in the district THINK ABOUT the whole process of IMPROVEMENT... that is, they see it as ongoing -- at both a personal and a system level...and they see it as something interesting and fulfilling to be part of...And they have imported or invented some new structures that are generative of further improvement work ...
Now, let me ask you a question. Can you tell me the extent to which you think the curricula you were "implementing" will itself be sustained? That is, if I were to visit in three years, what amount of implementation would I actually see if I walked into classrooms on a random basis? And would I find more legacy in three years, or more implementation? And does that even make sense??? Best and thanks. Mark
