I don't know about the other projects, but I feel that ours has had a
significant impact on higher educsation. We have scientists presenting
at teacher conferences. They are modifying their own courses to include
cooperative learning, inquiry, 5 E lessons, graphic organizers, etc.
Other grants have spun off of the NSF LSC grant initiative. At one
university, there are arts and science faculty study groups focusing on
improving teaching and learning in higher education. I don't think any
of this would have happened in higher ed if we hadn't worked as
partners in the NSF LSC grant.
