More Concept Maps
|
Joan (and others),
We are in the process of writing an article on using concept maps in the science classroom. If you would like to receive a copy or comment on early drafts, please email me directly!
I am excited about how much information you learn from students' concept maps... if the mapping activity is designed correctly. Yes, concept maps can be used pre/post, and even as formative assessments along the way. The process of creating a concept map is a great opportunity for personal reflection, and provides a great springboard for further class discussion.
I can be reached at jvanides @ stanfordalumni.org for more information.
Best regards,
- Jim Vanides
