Writing in science
|
Sounds like ideas we're trying to initiate with our teachers! We do see
progress - slow progress - and yet most teachers agree they need to
address more than one content area at a time. And - how can we not?!
We hope to work on those issues this summer with a group of teacher
leaders, grades K-5. Our goal is to have about 20-25 teachers work for
3 days investigating writing and math opportunities that are either
embedded in the science, or linked to the science. Then, those teachers
will have the background to support their colleagues at their schools
as they dig deeper into integration.
