I agree reflection needs to be taught AND also practiced and rehearsed!
We find many teachers reluctant to spend time reflecting, yet they
expect that behavior from their students. When we talk about this
issue, we usually agree that teachers, and our students, don't always
know how to reflect, or what to reflect on. So - along with a school
culture that values and expects reflection as part and parcel of the
job, reflection skills must be taught and practiced.
