I am looking forward to sharing my thoughts and ideas with superintendents and other administrators about how to best engage site leaders in systemic reform efforts. In my experience, I have found that there are many key players that need to get involved and empowered. Support and encouragement are important, but rarely is that enough to bring about the long-term, sustainable reform efforts we seek. There are many other aspects of reform that need to be looked at as well, and there are key elements that absolutely cannot be neglected.
