subject: one curriculum
You know Mike, this has been one of the strongest arguments I can think
of for keeping science on the plate in our district. At present it is
the only curriculum we havethat is delivered thru our Science Center
to every k-8 teacher. There are options in language arts, math and SS,
but the same science kits go to every 3rd grade class and all teachers
have access to professional development supports for this
curriculum.... I have tried to pitch this as a great resource for say,
developing district wide writing prompts... if everyone teaches what is
provided for science we would have greater consistency from which to
build student's understanding.
