subject: another thought
Pat

I thought of something else about this. We have a certain number of
the board meetings "site based." They move to different schools to
have their meetings. This really helped when we wanted to have
students' showcase their work. We didn't have to transport a lot of
materials and the culture of the school could be better shared.
Another funny aspect. The board members were touring the school and
several students were present. One board member went up to a student
and asked What your favorite subject?" the student said "science."
Then they went to the next and repeated the same question and got the
same answer! This went on for several students. Finally the board
member said to the next student, OTHER than science, what is your
favorite subject?" It was a vivid message!!

Best wishes

Jane
