subject: Analyzing A student produced method.
The student appears to be subtracting the digits and is using a
negative sign to indicate that 2-7 = -5, 3 - 5 = -2, and 1 - 0 = 1.
Since the child appears to have listed the numbers in the correct place
value it appears as though the sub-difference is 100 - 20 - 5 which is
75.
