Judi's research focuses on systemic reform, professional development, and teacher leadership. She is the PI of the MSP project, "Deepening Everyone's Mathematics Content Knowledge: Mathematicians, Teachers, Parents, Students and Community Members". She was the Project Director of a middle school mathematics LSC which was expanded to K-12 through a D.D. Eisenhower Professional Development Grant. Judi is the coauthor of the NSF commissioned FOUNDATIONS #3 monograph, Professional Development that Supports School Mathematics Reform and has developed several other professional development materials. She has recently completed an NSF-funded study of the initial stages of initiating district-level lead teacher positions in mathematics. She has been published in several professional journals including the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education; Journal of Mathematics Teacher Education, and Reading Research Quarterly.
