posted by: Judith Fonzi on May 20, 2003 at 9:42AM subject: The "exemplary" list Lucy and Suzanne thanks for the thoughtful poster. I am wondering how we (the larger we) can capitalize on the NYC Chancellor's list of 208 exemplary schools. More specifically how we can capitalize on the fact that most of District 2 was exempt from the "common curriculum" - meaning the one somebody else picked ! It seems to me that the fact that your district is being recognized as exemplary has concrete value for the rest of us (especially those of us in NY). Do you have ways of sharing this information ? Are the criteria for "exemplary" status public ?
