First, nice poster! I think your work on content knowledge is quite interesting, and your thinking does fit well with Deborah's keynote. Deborah points out that we need to identify the content knowledge that is actually *needed* for practice. I think what you are finding is that teachers must be part of figuring this out. Once teachers understand exactly what kind of knowledge they need to teach their curriculum, then I think they will be motivated to learn it. Just knowing that they don't "know" algebra won't motivate them unless they can see how it would be useful in their classrooms.
