subject: Big mathematical ideas
I am interested in hearing more about the structure of the workshop in
which experienced teachers spend time addressing the big mathematical
ideas. In my district there is a curriculum framework that lists many
skills and I think that this document sometimes gets in the way of
teachers really looking at the big mathematical ideas and how children
develop these.
